The World Indoor Championships 2000 was the last event in de Bonte Wever as the facility burned down in 2001.
Meetings
In conjunction with the Congress TWIF organizes the first TWIF Seminar; a meeting for open discussion on actual sport issues
IOC Recognition
TWIF received from the IOC USD 10.000 (annual) plus USD 10.000 through ARISF for development projects
 
Development
Software Mr. Koren upgrades the computer programme to include a Score section that can show the life score via beamer on screen. At the Indoor World Championships in the Bonte Wever the programme is used for the first time.
Rules A tiebreaking procedure is introduced to avoid "pull-off's" after qualifying competition; this substantial reduces the time of competitions at championships.
Publicity and Promotion
The TWIF News Letter is updated and to be published as the TWIF Magazine. The World Indoor Championship 2000 is webcasted by WorldSportCom. Dijk Media is producer of the video signal.
